Yes That's Right JOHN DENVER

One of the things that motivated me as an artist...yes I do believe I am now an artist....it has taken me years to get comfortable with using this term to describe what I do...I feel my vision, ability to communicate a message through my images have finely gotten to a point where I can and do say something.

My love of music goes back to a small kid...mostly I enjoyed just listening but about 6 or 7 years ago I finally broke down and bought a guitar...all because of the music and message of John Denver.

Here is an excerpt from a very recent article on CMT News, written by Chet Flippo........our society needs MORE JOHN DENVER!

'But music can and does affect a nation's mood. Not everyone liked John Denver's generally sunny songs, but his championing of nature and the earth made a genuine impact. And people still listen to and sing his songs. He made a difference, is what I'm saying. This week's disposable hell-raiser song does not. I got nothing against hell-raising. I just don't know that it's something you do all the time when everything's going to hell all around you. "

Been Busy...but

I've been swamped and just not posted in awhile. I'll try and do much better.

This has nothing to do with photography but as photography is an art part of what inspired me to find my art in photography was/is my passion for great music, mostly country...all kinds of country...I like the old stuff...the new stuff...the rocky kind of stuff....

Here is just a great song...I've not been a big fan of Glen Campbell in years. If you research him you will find not only is he just an amazing guitar player but he has had huge influence on music for decades......sit back and enjoy a great singer songwriter.

More pics to come over the next week or two!

Rivers Live

Sorry for not posting in quite awhile but I've just been swamped with a few weddings, commercial projects, and of course the magazine.

I just now completed some shots from a few months ago, these are the guys down at Gilley's. I really wish I could shoot a few more bands as I just really like the results.

Check'em out!

2 + 3 = Love

Sorry for the cheesy title...

Jeff and Mellisa asked me to get some family shots as they just adopted a great little boy and girl. Here are a few from couple of weeks ago, a great family. There is a great story behind this wonderful family. It was a real pleasure to shoot them.

Mrs. Frisco

Oh Yeah Baby!

A couple of weeks ago I shot Mrs. Frisco for her Mrs. Texas pageant. We needed a few headshots...I couldn't stop there so I had to have a little fun.

These shots lead to being contacted by the Mrs. Texas Pageant, and we (Style Creative Photography) will now be the official photographer for the 2007 and 2008 pageant!

Here are a few shots.

Bob & Lori - In Atlanta

Well last weekend was a blast....all except the flight home...long story..haha.

I really did have a great time spending the day with Bob and Lori shooting their engagement shots. They picked me up from the airport and off we went galavanting around Atlanta. We ended up with some great shots of a great couple.

I'm looking forward to shooting the wedding this August in Destin.

Congrats Bob and Lori!

TK Goree Galleries

I've now started to update my website the about 200 images from yesterday's service. I am very pleased to learn the family has been very appreciative of the images and it has helped them gain a since of the reverence that has been paid to their husband, son, father.

There will be 3 galleries with the first one being the images that tugged at my heart the most.

If you go to my website and then go to galleries then people you will see the 3 links.

In Memory of TK Goree

I was asked to help a family remember a fallen hero. TK Goree served our country in Iraq as a firefighter in Paris, TX. Early this past week he lost his life unexpectedly, I believe due to injuries from his service in Iraq. I have no details but what I do know is we all owe a debt of gratitude to this 29 year old father of 3 who gave his life serving us.

It is my hope these images will somehow help the family cope with this loss, or on some level show them how much the world cares for them.
